Nahuarra swords are the best swords in the world in this price range. Our swords are not made with Tamaghagane , but are manufactured with high carbon steel type SAE/AISI: 5160, which is not a stainless steel. The blades do not have any additional plating and the finishing is done only by polishing the blade.
The 5160 steel is well known by its suitability for tempering, resistance to fatigue and traction due to its high contents of Carbon, Manganese and Chrome. This steel is widely used in applications that require a higher hardness and tenacity and it is considered worldwide as one of the best choices for blade smiting.

The 5160 is in many aspects very similar to the Japanese Tamahagane . The swords are manufactured following a hand forging process that result in a blade of excellent quality. The production process is optimal to obtain a blade suitable for use in a Tameshigiri . As a result, our swords are practically the same than a Nihon-to , because the blade has different areas with different physical properties; the edge mainly composed by martensite, which gives it an extraordinary hardness and wear resistance and the body composed by pearlite, which gives it more flexibility. The martensite as a harder molecular form of the steel, whereas the pearlite is a softer more flexible one. This contrasts with the traditional Japanese sword, which is forged to be hard and rigid, while the occidental swords are more flexible. As a result, disciplines such as Kenjutsu, Batto and Iaido emphasize in the cutting techniques because an incorrect technique together with an incorrect angle of cutting can damage or even break the blade.
Our blades even have some superior features to a Japanese sword made with Tamaghagane , and one of the main differences is that our blades do not have the Hamon due to the different chemical composition of the steel.
The Rockwell Hardness of our blades averages as follows:
Ji al Mune (medium blade) : 35-32 Habuchi (spine) : 45-42
Ha (edge): 62-60
The dimensions are as follow:
Nagasa ( length
